Germoglio

È dalla Grande Madre terra che germogliano tre mani,
una inerte di chi già giace in quel grembo,
non per atti di eroismo e di conquista
ma nel ripetere quei gesti, ereditati dagli avi:
l’onesto lavoro.
Due mani si elevano verso il sole in cerca di quelle forze che,
smarrite nel dovere
nutrite di speranza
forti di volontà,
proiettano al cielo una colomba,
spirito di pace forgiato sull’incudine,
custode di fiducia nel futuro.

Il Monumento alle Vittime del Lavoro è stato commissionato allo scultore Buffagni dal “Comitato pro monumento alle vittime degli incidenti sul lavoro” – riunitosi con lo scopo di attivarsi per innalzare in territorio modenese, un monumento dedicato a quanti hanno sacrificato sul lavoto, l’integrità fisica, la salute e la propria vita – su proposta del Consiglio Provinciale ANMIL Onlus, che ha raccolto la volontà e il desiderio di Invalidi e familiari di Caduti sul Lavoro.

Il Monumento ha un’altezza di 8 metri ed è collocato in viale Leonardo da Vinci a Modena.

The Monument to the Labour Victims – Monumento alle Vittime del Lavoro has been commissioned to Buffagni by a committee working in memory of labour victims called “Comitato pro monumento alle vittime degli incidenti sul lavoro”. Their meetings aimed to the building of a monument in Modena dedicated to the ones who sacrificed their physical integrity, their health and their own life in the name of labour. The Committee worked on a proposal of the Provincial Council ANMIL Onlus and collected the will and the wishes of invalids and relatives of Labour victims.

The Monument has a height of 8 meters and it is located in Viale Leonardo da Vinci in Modena
